How has adoption changed your life?
Adoption is my life- personally and professionally. When we wanted to adopt we were rejected by every agency I called- wrong age, wrong religions, wrong income, etc- and not one invitation to meet face to face. I started my own agency to empower all to be participants rather than observers in the process . 35 years later- the agency thrives and accepts all without judgment .
What is a lesson from your adoption experience that could be life-changing for all families?
Accept and embrace all
Without judgement or bias. If adoption is necessary kindly view it as extended family-
Not the cutting of roots.
What changes would you like to see made in adoption?
Adoption is about finding homes for children in need- rather than a cure for infertility.
